In the Shipyard

Dear Friends and Newcomers,
The month of April wasn't easy, living on a boat outside the water. We couldn't just pour stuff down the drain, the bathrooms were a good 4 minute trek away, and when the boat starts rocking, you can really start worrying. But the boat has come along beautifully, and tomorrow is the day she should be going back in the water where she belongs!

The last time we took Pangaea out of the water was well over four years ago, in the South of France, when her name was still Kat-Dan.

We had to sandblast the hull that time, which was considerably more work for Achim. But since this the hull was in good condition, we could sand her the old fashioned way.
Achim welded parts of the rudder we bent in Saint Lucia two years ago.
After one month of hard work, Pangaea looks new again. From the outside, that is. We still have interior work to do, but I'd rather spend my time steaming up some green beans...
