I drink to all of you who have waited so patiently for an update! From the turtle infested waters of the Bahamas to the jetski infested waters of South Florida, from the steel grey San Fran Bay to the Gluehwein capital of Hamburg, I’ve been hoping to catch and reveal some images of our exhausting, fulfilling travels. So sit back and let me fill you in...
We left the Abacos mid October, and had one of the most beautiful passages we’ve experienced crossing the gulf stream. Spear and lure fishing, snorkeling, swimming... all the things NORMAL cruisers are supposed to do. No hacking away at keyboards, no schlepping the computer for downloads... just us and nature.
We will miss the friends that we made there, some of whom you can see here, a worldy cast of characters who each deserve their own page one of these days. The friends we make along the way are probably the most rewarding part of this life journey.

Then again, the actual sailing part isn’t bad, either. In fact, it inspired Achim to get the boat together, and prepare ourselves for the Pacific next year.

Now that I know how to fish, (can you believe it took me 5 years to get a line in the water?) we hope to live off the sea even more... and yet as most of you know, I also yearn to plant my feet somewhere for awhile.
Only time will tell whether this plan will come to fruition. We’ll let you know.

Remember, wherever your feet are, you’re probably home....
